Hello, I’m Francine Cowley. I started Webster 8 back in 2000 to accommodate the needs of travelers who demanded a fully furnished luxury apartment while staying in L.A. It’s been an amazing journey and I’ve met some fascinating people along the way. I’ll be sharing some of my most cherished memories, funny stories and occasionally just sharing my opinion on things. I was very excited to see the progress being made on the new WeHo library across from the Pacific Design Center. It is so wonderful to see the importance of architecture being kept alive by the city of West Hollywood. While I know there is much controversy on the topic, I believe it is a move in the right direction.
I just saw the play Never Land by Phyllis Nagy, at Rogue Machine on Pico this past Saturday. You must promise me you will see it. You will leave with a deeper understanding of love, career, money, fear, sex, marriage, race, language, aging, truthful conversation, poetry and visions.
Brava Ms. Nagy. You make language so beautiful!

I had the pleasure of hosting the wedding of Lauren & Michael this past weekend. The ceremony was absolutely stunning and the bride looked flawless (the groom looked pretty darn good as well).
Lauren and Michael stayed in the Hancock unit and had a wedding party of 14 that enjoyed great food and drink until the wee hours of the night.
A special thank you to Lauren's parents for their eagerness and willingness to make this a spectacular event.
I wish nothing but health and happiness to Lauren and Michael and hope that they find their way back to Webster 8 on their next visit to L.A.

While it's been years since my last trip to Chile, this is a place that I would have to see if I traveled there again.
According to the AFP, "The world's largest swimming pool can be found at a seaside resort in Algarrobo, Chile, 95 km west of Santiago. Acknowledged by the Guinness World Records, the lagoon measures 1013 metres in length, covers an area of eight hectares, contains 250,000 cubic meters of water and is navigable in small boats."
